Jesse Oberin is a music producer and mixing & mastering engineer based in Melbourne, Australia.
I have spent more than a decade developing a working approach that treats audio as both a craft and a calling. The work tends toward records that feel present and honest: detailed and resolved, where the performances are still clearly at the heart of the music.
My experience has ranged from opera singers to indie folk to death metal, from independent records to film mixes and award-winning documentary soundtracks. Whether recording, mixing, mastering for vinyl and streaming, or working in audio post-production for screen, I bring the same standard of care to every stage.
Why me?
I am not a big production house; I take on a limited number of projects and am fully present for each one. The process is calm, collaborative, and honest: you stay close to the creative decisions; I take responsibility for the technical complexity. The goal is a record you feel fully confident releasing, one that sounds right everywhere it is heard.
